    Capital Harmony Works, formed this past February through the merger of Trenton Children’s Chorus and Trenton Music Makers, is elated this week to announce that Odessa Nikole (Niki) Spruill Graham will join the new team as Director of Development.

    A long-held dream for Trenton music education opportunities is coming true.

    Nearly ten years ago, Trenton Children’s Chorus (est. 1989) and Trenton Music Makers (est. 1999) explored the idea of combining forces to take the musical life of youth in Trenton to the next level. Now, the Trenton music scene now resounds with the joy of young people in Capital Harmony Works: Home of Music for The Very Young, Trenton Children’s Chorus, and Trenton Music Makers.

    In observance of Juneteenth, Trenton Music Makers will celebrates its resilience and creativity over the past year with the release a short documentary film, Freedom: Stories of Innovation, Resiliency, and Connection, featuring interviews with Trenton Music Makers and their families, orchestral selections, and more.

  • January 9, 2021: TRENTON MUSIC MAKERS OPENS MID-YEAR TO NEW STUDENTS - Grant from the NJ Arts and Culture Relief Fund Provides Welcome Resources

    Just in time to fight the winter doldrums, a grant from the NJ Arts and Culture Relief Fund will allow Trenton children and teens to try out something new, from the safety and familial support of home. Trenton Music Makers is opening four new string classes for beginners; students can start work on a new skill, receive a highquality instrument, and engage with Trenton Music Makers’ range of gifted and dedicated teaching artists.
